Smile Cipher
Although the underground divisions of enisoc.com now use
PGP for secure communications,
throughout the organization's infancy, a much less sophisticated means of
encryption was used. This cipher substituted special tokens, and permutations
thereof, for letters, numbers, and other characters. Originally, the tokens used
were text-based smily faces, such as :) and :D.
Because of this, the agents using it quickly bestowed upon it the name Smile
Cipher. This cipher has recently been declassified, and is now being made
available to the public for historical purposes.
